Just an idle thought for tonight: Remember how movies and television shows from the '40s and '50s always showed the throngs of people wearing hats and overcoats, and how quaint that looks now since hardly anyone wears real hats anymore? (Baseball caps and such don't count.) It struck me that with the ubiquitous nature of cell phones, most of which have more functions now than early computers, we may quickly reach a point where the wrist watch is in the same boat. Why strap a clock to your arm when you've got one on your cell?
I don't have a cell phone - no need for one and the reception here in St. Robert isn't all that hot - but I stopped wearing a watch ages ago. I'm surrounded by digital clocks wherever I go.
Like I said, an idle thought. I've slept less than 12 hours since Friday. You want profound, check back when I've had a few more Z's.
