The Blogfather weighs in on Episode III and is left underwhelmed.
I don't suppose I can blame him. I stand by my rating of Does Not Suck, but even a fanboy like myself can see the merits of the criticism.
I keep thinking that a large portion of the complaints about the acting could have been avoided had Lucas given his actors the whole script and actual people and things to act with. You can use all the CGI you want to paint a virtual world, but if the actors can't connect and sell the story then you're better off just doing a 3D cartoon - professional voice actors work cheaper and deliver a better end product.
Went with some friends at work today for the all important second viewing, and as I said I'm not going to fiddle with the Does Not Suck conclusion, but I'm further convinced that Revenge would have been better served with a little more 'decline and fall' and a lot less Grevious.
