CERN seems to have broken the speed of light - but they're understandably skeptical.
The results of an experiment in which a bundle of neutrinos made the trip from Switzerland to Italy 0.0000006 seconds faster than they should have are now online, and CERN is inviting the worldwide scientific community to help figure out just what the heck happened.
I'm somewhat amused that Al Gore hasn't piped in yet to lecture us about how the science on the speed of light is "settled". But I'm weird like that.
