I'm in the pool for jury duty this week, which makes me a bit nervous because I've got a lot of stuff on my plate at work and if I don't get things done in a timely fashion other people don't get to do their jobs - and sometimes those other people are doctors, which affects a lot of other other people.
Election Day tomorrow. I'm making no predictions, because I don't believe any one really has any solid data. For all the campaigns' ability to drill down to a person's Facebook friends and voting history, the truth of the matter is that the percentage of the public that actually responds to pollsters has dropped from 50% in the '80s to 35% in the late '90s to an underwhelming 9% of the electorate since 2002.
In short, no one knows anything, so go vote like it matters. Because it very well may.
I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, although I will strongly encourage you not to vote for the incumbent, which I suppose is a roundabout way of telling you who to vote for.
